Some older assets will have a longer life cycle than newer or more modern assets. Older assets are often more ‘maintainable’ than modern assets which are often more ‘disposable’ assets.
A qualified engineer must be used to determine life expectancy outside the accepted ATO benchmarks (this is called ‘self assessment’).
