12 factors to consider when accurately determining life expectancy of assets and elements:

Quality of consumables

If poor consumable items are used, life expectancy is reduced eg lamps, ballasts, batteries, grease etc.  Think twice before putting cheap consumables into a quality asset.

You get what you pay for.

A qualified engineer must be used to determine life expectancy outside the accepted ATO benchmarks (this is called ‘self assessment’).
